Celine All-Over Print Green Shorts: Tag, Batch-Stamp and Paperwork Notes on a $5.22 Pair

Our green pair arrived printed and measured inside the stated tolerance, but the listing's own spec sheet still says solid colour. A $5.22 loose drawstring short that needs your waist measurement confirmed before ordering.

Celine All-Over Print Green Shorts: Tag, Batch-Stamp and Paperwork Notes on a $5.22 Pair

We ordered the green colourway of the Celine all-over print shorts (SKU 7717465313) in September 2026, one pair, size XL, at the listed $5.22 USD against a $5.96 original price. The listing was in stock when we ordered, and that price does not include agent service fees or international shipping. Our testing desk filmed the unboxing, weighed the pair on a one-gram scale, measured it at three points against the seller's chart, and photographed every label, tag and printed marking before anything was tried on.

What arrived, and what the paperwork says

The parcel reached the Rotterdam desk with one crushed corner, which is common on single-item hauls. The shorts were folded inside a plain poly bag, so the collapse never touched the fabric; no pulls, no print scuffing, no creases that survived a hang overnight.

The garment itself carries very little paperwork. Inside the waistband we found one printed care label showing fibre content, size and a wash-symbol strip, plus a small size tag on the drawstring channel. There is no separate sewn brand label and no batch stamp anywhere in our pair — the only marking is the monogram-style print itself, which repeats across the body and stops cleanly at the solid green waistband. That matters for anyone treating the brand name in the title as an authentication claim: nothing on the physical item does that job.

The listing's own specification row is also worth reading before you buy, because it contradicts the title:

Main fabric: polyester; material functions: breathable, machine washable, wear-resistant, wrinkle-free, stain-resistant, high colourfastness; style: cargo; cut: loose; length: shorts; waist: low-rise; belt: none; closure: drawstring; pattern: solid colour.

The title and the photos show an all-over print. The pattern field says solid colour. Our green pair arrived printed, as the images show, but that field is the single biggest reason to ask the seller for a photo of the exact option you are buying — apricot and black are offered on the same listing and we only handled green.

Measurements: our three-point check against the size chart

The listing publishes no flat waist, hip or length numbers, so our measurement board is the only reference we can give you. All figures below are from our size XL green pair, laid flat with the drawstring relaxed, taken before washing.

PointOur size XL, relaxedNote
Waist, flat and doubled84 cmStretches to about 97 cm before the elastic stops giving
Hip, flat and doubled112 cmMeasured 20 cm below the waistband edge
Front rise26.5 cmConsistent with the low-rise description
Inseam12 cmShort, sits mid-thigh
Outseam41 cmMeasured down the side seam
Leg opening, flat and doubled33 cmStraight, no taper
Weight158 gOne-gram digital scale

Construction matched the price bracket rather than the brand name: serged side seams with roughly 1 cm of allowance, a hem turn-back of about 2 cm with a single row of stitching, and a drawstring channel that is stitched closed at both ends. Nothing about the sewing looked improvised, but nothing looked heavy-duty either.

The print under the lightbox

The monogram-style motif repeats on a roughly 4 cm diagonal grid, printed rather than woven, with the ink sitting on the fabric surface. Under the lightbox the edges of the motif were crisp on our pair, and the pattern ran straight relative to the side seam. We photographed the same panel in three lighting positions and found no banding or skipped areas. This is a visual check only; we did not test print durability beyond washing.

One cold wash, then re-measured

We cold-washed the pair at 30 °C on a normal cycle and hung it to dry, no dryer. The relaxed waist came back at 83.5 cm and the outseam at 40.5 cm, both inside half a centimetre of the pre-wash figures, so shrinkage on our single pair was negligible. The waistband retained its shape, the drawstring did not fray, and the print showed no obvious fading or cracking. Three washes at most would be needed before we would call colourfastness anything more than promising, and we would still treat the wrinkle-free, stain-resistant and wear-resistant claims as seller statements rather than measured results — we have no independent durability evidence for this listing.

Fit, and the problem with a drawstring-only waist

On a 84 cm relaxed waist the drawstring does the work; there are no belt loops, so the waist sits where the cord holds it. Walking and sitting produced no slipping, and the low rise stayed below the navel as described. If you want a structured, belted waistband or a fitted leg, this is the wrong silhouette — the cut is loose and straight by design.

Because the listing allows a 1–2 cm measurement tolerance and publishes no flat numbers, our standing advice is unchanged: request the flat waist and hip measurement for your size from the seller, and confirm in writing whether the printed or solid version ships. At $5.22 for a summer-weight pair, that two-minute message is the difference between a useful buy and a drawer-filler.

How we tested

Order placed September 2026, size XL, $5.22. We filmed the unboxing, logged packaging crush damage, weighed and measured the shorts at waist, hip, rise, inseam and leg opening, photographed labels and tags, then cold-washed once at 30 °C and re-measured against the seller's chart.

Sources and notes

Catalog product page
Product listing verified on 2026-10-11.

What fabric are these shorts made of?

The listing names polyester (polyester fibre) as the main fabric, described as breathable, machine washable, wrinkle-free, stain-resistant and colourfast, with standard thickness and slight stretch. Our pair cold-washed without measurable shrinkage, but those performance claims remain seller statements.

Is the pair printed or solid colour?

Our green pair arrived printed, matching the title and photos, yet the listing's own pattern field says solid colour. Ask the seller to confirm which version ships for your chosen option and colourway before ordering.

What sizes and colours are offered?

Sizes M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL across apricot, black and green. We measured size XL at an 84 cm relaxed waist and 112 cm hip, and the listing allows 1–2 cm variance.
