Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: 220g Long-Staple Cotton, Oversized Cut, Measured

We ordered the Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection, measured the loose cotton body against the seller's size chart, and cold-washed one unit. The oversized cut and thin SKU-level evidence are the real questions, not the $8.51 price.

Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: 220g Long-Staple Cotton, Oversized Cut, Measured

We ordered the Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection (SKU 7718829942) through our shopping agent at $8.51, down from a listed $10.14, and it arrived InStock in a standard poly mailer. It is a short-sleeve, collarless pullover with a loose cut, sold as a long-staple cotton tee at a stated 220g weight, with a no-iron finish and a moisture-wicking material function. The option list runs to dozens of color codes grouped into black, white and apricot, in S, M, L and XL.

The interesting question with this listing is not the price. It is whether a $8.51 graphic tee holds its shape, whether the loose cut matches the label, and whether the sizing advice you find in Rhude threads actually applies to this specific style. Priya Raghavan filmed the unboxing before the bag was opened, and the garment was photographed on the grey mat with a dated card.

How we checked this tee

Following our standard apparel method, we took three flat measurements — chest, shoulder and body length — and set them against the seller's own size chart rather than against another brand. We photographed the neck label, the wash tag and the batch stamp before the tee was tried on, and we logged packaging condition on arrival, since a crushed mailer is usually the first sign a print has been sitting folded and pressed. We then checked seam allowance at the shoulder and side seam, inspected hem stitching, weighed the garment on our one-gram scale, and put one unit through a single cold wash to measure shrinkage.

Two centimetres of chest variance is within what we expect from a factory-run tee and does not change the intended loose silhouette. The cold wash moved the chest about 1.5 cm, which is a small amount but enough to matter if you are already between sizes. The mailer arrived with light corner bruising; the folded tee inside showed no print cracking or press marks.

Fabric, weight and the finish claims

The listing names long-staple cotton as the main fabric and lists a 220g weight, a no-iron treatment and moisture-wicking function. Our scale read 246 g for a size L, which is consistent with a 220g fabric once you account for a full cut and a long body — read the 220g figure as a fabric weight, not as the number on your kitchen scale. Handfeel is dry and dense rather than soft-drapey, closer to jersey with a slight body to it. The no-iron finish is the claim we can least confirm from a single wash: the tee hung dry with fewer creases than a plain cotton tee would, but one wash is not a durability test of an anti-crease treatment, and we would not treat that finish as permanent. The moisture-wicking function is likewise a listing description rather than something we can quantify on a cotton knit.

Fit and sizing: the part buyers argue about

The collarless, loose cut is the whole point of the product, and it does behave that way on the body — the shoulders sit dropped and the body stays clear of the torso. What we cannot settle from one order is which label size you should choose.

  • r/Rhude threads lean toward going a full size down, and one r/streetwear buyer reported moving from a usual large to a small. r/Rhude sizing thread, r/streetwear thread.
  • Some of the same thread participants keep their normal size in certain Rhude silhouettes, which is why the shrink-to-one-answer advice does not hold up.
  • Retail listings for Rhude tees describe an oversize fit and recommend sizing down if you want a closer fit, which supports the loose-cut reading rather than contradicting it. Mr Porter listing.

Against that, at least one sizing guide describes Rhude tees as relaxed through the body but often short in length and true to size for most wearers. Those two readings do not sit comfortably together, and our single measured unit cannot break the tie. Ask your agent for flat chest and length figures for the exact color code you want before you pay, and compare them with a tee you already own rather than with the size you wear in another brand.

Prints, colorways and construction

The line is built around letter graphics and brand-logo motifs, which is what makes the wide color run useful: black, white and apricot are the only three bases, so the choice is really about which print sits on which base. Seam allowance on our unit measured about 1.2 cm at the shoulder and 1.0 cm at the side seam, with a single-needle hem and no loose thread ends beyond one tag thread. The neckline is a clean collarless band without visible puckering. Across dozens of color codes, print placement is the variable most likely to differ between variants, so judge from the photographs attached to the specific code you order, not from the group shot.

Where the evidence runs thin

The sizing advice that circulates for Rhude is category-level, not listing-level. We found no buyer-written account that attaches to this SKU, and the one seller-service comment we located refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print tee, so it should not be read as feedback on this product.

That distinction matters more than usual here, because the tee is inexpensive and the sizing risk is the main cost of getting it wrong. Treat the fabric, weight and finish descriptions as seller claims we could partially check, and treat the recommended size as something to verify with flat measurements from your agent before the order leaves the warehouse.

How we tested

Filmed the unboxing at our Rotterdam desk and photographed the tee on the grey mat with a dated card. We measured the chest, shoulder and body length flat, checked seam allowance and hem stitching, weighed the garment, and cold-washed one unit to check shrinkage.

How should I size this tee?

Rhude threads lean toward a full size down, and one buyer moved from a usual large to a small, but some wearers keep their normal size in other Rhude cuts. Flat chest and length measurements from your agent are the only reliable guide here.

What fabric and weight does the listing describe?

The listing states long-staple cotton as the main fabric, a 220g weight, a no-iron finish and moisture-wicking function. Our size L unit weighed 246 g on the scale, and we could not confirm the finish as permanent.

Are there buyer reviews for this listing?

None that attach to this SKU. The sizing evidence we found is category-level for the Rhude brand, and the one seller-service comment refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print tee, so it is not feedback on this product.
