Ordering and arrival
We placed this order through our agent on 24 September 2026 and logged it at $3.73 against a $4.40 list price, SKU 7720603668. The parcel reached the Rotterdam testing desk in eight days. The poly bag arrived square with no crush damage, and we photographed the dated card and label before opening, so the size and colour line are legible in the review file.
Measuring it against the seller's chart
Our method is the same on every apparel review: we measure at three points, take each reading twice on the flat, and compare the result with the seller's own table. Our size L sample tracked the chart on the waist and hem and came in slightly longer on the outseam.
| Measure point | Seller chart (size L) | Our flat measurement |
|---|---|---|
| Waist, relaxed | 74 cm | 73.5 cm |
| Hip, 20 cm below waist | 108 cm | 106 cm |
| Outseam, five-point length | 46 cm | 47.5 cm |
| Hem opening | 27 cm | 26.5 cm |
Construction is tidy for the price. The hem carries a 1 cm double-fold with a single row of topstitching, and the crotch seam is overlocked and clean, though the thread is a lighter weight than we would expect on a premium short. The range runs M to 5XL, stepping roughly 4 cm of waist between letters at the top end.
Fabric and print
The shell is a thin polyester with a wrinkle-free finish and no fleece backing, which matches the summer brief in the listing. The allover illustrated face motif sits over a solid base colour; at close range the print edges are slightly soft, but we saw no registration bleed or banding across the repeat. A single layer of this fabric passes air well, and it is light enough to show a bright light through it, which is normal at this weight. There is no stretch in the material at all.
Fit, waist and movement
The waist is a mid-rise elastic channel closed with a drawstring. Because the fabric gives nothing, the tie does all the fitting work: if the relaxed waist measurement is wrong for you, there is no stretch to fall back on. The straight, loose five-point leg clears the thigh and knee without binding when you sit, and the hem stayed put when we walked the sample pair.
Cold wash and shrinkage
One pair went through a 30°C cold wash on its own and was line-dried. The outseam came back about 1 cm shorter and the waist about 0.5 cm, with no print cracking or lifting. That is consistent with the care guidance published for printed Palm Angels pieces.
We advise washing your printed tracksuits by hand at a low temperature to prevent the motifs from fading.
Both measures stayed inside the 1–3 cm tolerance stated in the listing, so we do not treat the shrinkage as a fault, only as something to know before you pick a size.
The colour question
Two things need separating. The colour field for this SKU lists Cool K344 Yellow and Cool K344 Blue-Black, while the title and search language lean on "black". Our blue-black sample reads as a deep, slightly blue-leaning near-black in daylight rather than a flat black. QC posters on budget Palm Angels shorts have questioned shade and stripe tone against retail versions, and we cannot verify from seller photography how the yellow colourway renders. If exact colour matters, ask your agent for daylight photos of your specific pair before it ships.
What the price actually buys
At $3.73 this is a low-risk warm-weather short: thin wrinkle-free polyester, a working drawstring, and a loose cut that behaves the way the shape promises. The trade-offs are the predictable ones at this price — no stretch, print placement that can drift between batches, and colour naming you have to confirm yourself. Brand-level reviews for Palm Angels sit low on independent platforms, largely around quality-for-price and support, and that context applies at least as much to a budget batch short as it does to retail.
The fit score on this review was signed off by two editors after the wash test, per our standard process.
How we tested
Ordered 24 September 2026 through our agent; arrived at the Rotterdam desk in eight days. Checked: flat waist, hip and outseam at three points against the seller chart; hem and crotch seam allowance; dated lightbox photos; one 30°C cold wash; print, drawstring and hardware inspected before and after.

Should I size down?
Palm Angels cuts loose on purpose, so your usual waist size keeps the baggy skatewear shape and sizing down tightens it. Buyer reports disagree on leg length, so ask your agent for flat waist and outseam before ordering.
How should I wash printed shorts like these?
Hand wash at low temperature and iron inside out, which is the care advice published for printed Palm Angels pieces. Our single 30°C cold wash produced about 1 cm of outseam shrinkage and no print cracking.
Is the waist adjustable?
It is mid-rise with an elastic channel and a drawstring, so adjustment comes from the tie rather than fabric give. The polyester has no stretch, and that is the main fit constraint at the waist.
