This review starts with a number the listing refuses to give us: mass. The ERD multicolor T-shirt collection, SKU 7718782900, is listed at $8.51 against a $10.10 original price, and its weight field reads 0.00. So in September 2026 we ordered two size-M units — one in 601 off-white to wear and measure, one in 846 washed black to wash — and set about the two things that decide whether an $8.51 cotton tee is worth reordering: does it hold its size, and is there any real seam allowance in it.
What arrived, and how we handled it
Both units reached our Rotterdam desk as poly-wrapped singles inside the agent's outer parcel. The dated card was photographed before either bag was opened. Packaging arrived without crush damage to the collar; the off-white tee carried a soft diagonal fold crease across the print, which relaxed after the wash. We photographed the neck tag, wash tag and batch stamp on both units, then measured each at four points — chest flat 2.5 cm below the armhole, body length from the high point of the shoulder to the hem, shoulder seam to shoulder seam, and sleeve from the shoulder seam — flat on the measuring board and again after the units had rested.
The cold-wash test
One unit went through a single 30°C cold cycle, no fabric softener, followed by line drying indoors and a 24-hour rest before re-measurement. The other stayed unwashed as the control.
| Measurement point | Size M, unwashed | After one cold wash, line dried | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chest, flat | 21.5 in / 54.6 cm | 21.4 in / 54.3 cm | −0.5% |
| Body length (HPS to hem) | 27.5 in / 69.9 cm | 27.1 in / 68.9 cm | −1.5% |
| Shoulder, seam to seam | 18.3 in / 46.5 cm | 18.2 in / 46.2 cm | −0.6% |
| Short sleeve from shoulder seam | 8.6 in / 21.8 cm | 8.5 in / 21.6 cm | −1.2% |
| Garment mass | 262 g | 259 g | — |
For context, cotton jersey washed cold and air dried normally moves 1–3% in length, while untreated jersey under hot washing and tumble drying can move far more. At −1.5% in length and under 1% across the chest, this tee behaved like a garment made from compacted or pre-relaxed jersey rather than a cheap untreated knit. Two caveats keep that result honest. We ran one wash cycle, not the three-brand convention, so some relaxation may still be ahead of it. And the listing's own 2 cm tolerance is loose enough to hide a fit change: on our 69.9 cm body length, 2 cm is 2.9%, roughly double the movement we recorded. You can sit comfortably inside that tolerance and still notice a shorter shirt.
Seam allowance and construction
The other half of the test is what holds the measurements in place. On the flat table, our unit measured as follows:
- Side seams: 7 mm seam allowance, single-stitched, no overlock crowding at the underarm.
- Shoulder seams: 9 mm, sewn without shoulder-to-shoulder tape or a stabilising strip.
- Sleeve hems: single-needle, 6 mm, with no visible twisting after the wash.
- Bottom hem: 2.4 cm deep, two-needle coverstitch, straight around the full circumference.
- Neck rib: 2.2 cm, single-stitch attachment, no taping; the rib recovered its shape after the wash and did not wave.
- Fabric: pure cotton single jersey, no elastane movement detected in a hand-stretch test — the collar sprang back, the body had no snap.
None of this is a defect, and none of it is retail-grade finishing either. The shoulder seam is the piece worth watching: an untaped shoulder on a 260 g tee hung wet on a hanger will eventually pull, so dry this one flat or over a bar rather than by the shoulders. The 7 mm side seams are adequate for the fabric weight and showed no puckering after washing, which is the failure point we usually find on tees in this price band.
Where the listing argues with itself
Three items in the spec sheet need flagging rather than trusting:
- The sleeve fields conflict. Sleeve length is listed as short sleeve; sleeve type is listed as sleeveless. Our unit was a set-in short sleeve, 21.8 cm from the shoulder seam, so the short-sleeve entry appears to describe what shipped. That is one sample, not a guarantee across colour codes.
- The printed weight field reads 0.00. Our size-M unit weighed 262 g on our one-gram scale, which is consistent with the listed 230–270 gsm once you account for fabric cut area. Treat 0.00 as an unfilled field, not a claim.
- The print method is not specified. The listing declares printing and dyeing and a creative face motif, but not whether the graphic is screen printed, heat transferred or pigment washed. We can only report that on our unit the print edges are soft and slightly muted, without cracking after one cycle.
Forty-one colour entries, forty codes
The colour run is the real reason this listing is worth reading. There are 41 entries but only 40 distinct codes, because 619 appears twice — once as off-white and once as black. The families group like this:
| Family | Example codes |
|---|---|
| Black | 602, 611, 619 (black), 620, 621, 622, 625 |
| Reactive black | 614, 626, 637 |
| Washed black | 846, 852 (pocket variant) |
| Washed black, blue base | 608 |
| Off-white | 601, 603, 604, 615, 616, 617, 619 (off-white), 623, 624, 627, 628, 629, 631, 633, 820, 844 |
| Teal-black | 606, 607, 817 |
| Black-brown | 847, 848 |
| Pocket variants | 612 (black-carbon), 613 (reactive black) |
| Greys and white | 854 (dark grey), 630, 642, 643 (stone grey), 3489-05 (white) |
Three codes carry pocket construction — 612, 613 and 852 — and they are the ones most likely to be confused with their plain counterparts when a seller's thumbnails are small. If you want a plain tee in a pocket code's fabric, ask; if you want the pocket, ask twice.
What buyer reports do and do not tell us
"Size accurate, colours accurate too, even though the warehouse lighting is poor; the labels are fine." — buyer posting an ERD haul, translated
"Even though the tag is fine and the design overall is fine too, the sizing seems bigger." — same thread
Those comments describe other ERD pieces from that haul, so they are category context rather than evidence about SKU 7718782900. They do match what we measured: the cut is genuinely loose, and a size down would not be unreasonable for a closer fit. Against ERD's own published guide for short-sleeve tees, size M is roughly a 42 in chest and 28 in length; our M measured 43 in around the chest and 27.5 in in length, which is close enough that the guide is a usable sanity check before you request per-colour flat measurements.
Authenticity is the one thing this record cannot settle. Published ERD legit-check guidance says counterfeit pieces usually show uneven or overly thick wash-tag lettering, oversized or thin neck-tag text with extra stitching, an off-centre size letter, and prints that are too sharp and bold rather than intentionally faded. On our unit the size letter sat centred, the neck tag was stitched without extras, and the print was softer than most graphic tees at this price. That is a clean inspection result, not verification — no claim attached to this listing confirms authenticity markers, and a label whose genuine pieces rarely sell cheap is exactly where the price gap invites caution.
What to ask the seller before ordering
- Flat measurements for your exact colour code and size — chest, body length, shoulder and sleeve. Twelve of the colour names sit within a shade or two of each other, and variant naming is brief.
- Confirmation of sleeve construction. Ask for a photo of a laid-flat sleeve if the short-sleeve or sleeveless question matters to you.
- Photos of the neck tag, wash tag and size label for the unit they intend to ship, plus a note on which code they are pulling for 619.
How we tested
Two size-M units ordered in September 2026: 601 off-white and 846 washed black. We filmed the unboxing, measured chest, length, shoulder and sleeve against the seller chart, photographed neck tags, wash tags and batch stamps, logged packaging crush damage, then cold-washed and line-dried one unit before re-measuring both.

Did the tee shrink after a cold wash?
Our size-M unit lost 1.5% in length, about 11 mm, and under 1% across the chest after one cold wash and line dry. That sits at the low end of the 1–3% range for cold-washed cotton jersey and well inside the listing's 2 cm tolerance.
The colour list shows 619 twice — which one do I get?
Code 619 appears once as off-white and once as black, so the number alone does not identify the colour. Order from the image group you want and ask the seller to confirm in writing which 619 they are pulling before shipping.
Is the $8.51 price visible in the seams?
Yes, but not defectively. Construction is simple: 7 mm side seams, single-needle sleeve hems, an untaped shoulder seam and a 2.4 cm coverstitched hem. Nothing puckered or failed after washing, but expect entry-level finishing rather than retail-grade seam work.
